And quite true too, though I do know of a few classic cases where toons have ages. (I liked AOSTH's Tails not being able to write... because he was only six.)
I'd provide critique, but your style is too far away from my field of expertise.
I think the cultural commentary seems to take a little of the fun out of this page. Oo Maybe it wasn't intended as a bash, but your critique is veiled pretty thinly, and a cartoon page that's supposed to be purely "fun" seems like an ironic place to put something like that. The way the text is arranged in that last panel, small and blocked off, also makes it look very stoic and serious, and that entire panel seems out of place with the rest of the comic.
But, on the positive side, for starters I love the hand-waving effect on Lou. It doesn't come up often in the less frantic cartoons out there, and it's really fun to see it done well, as it can be hard for some artists to pull off. Me, for example. x.x The blurring may have been a little bit unnecessary, but it doesn't become a negative either. I also like the expressions in panels 3 and 4, mainly the various strains on the mouth in 3.
The only other negative point I'd bring up is the way the characters are constructed at times. The second panel is the best example of the issue, while the fourth and fifth panels are a great display of anatomical flow. Possy there seems a bit pieced-together in panel 2, as if he's not really a single body but a lot of body parts that don't quite join up as well as they could. I don't want to get stuck on this, but I hope you know what I mean.
Anyway, I'm loving the comics regardless of any minor issues. Keep drawing, and keep those lovely colours flowing. >> << >> And uh... "it's cute!" 8]
